President Colin opened the meeting welcoming those attending. He began by again mentioning the bus trip and that currently there is no update on the old clubroom or any potential new venue.

As this week was an off meeting there was no set topic and me mbers were free to discuss any topics of interest to them. Joe was looking to rehome a fire mouth cichlid which Brian Stark was happy to take. Colin mentioned some new barbs he had acquired and a discussion was had barb I’d and where to acquire the more unusual ones.

A discussion was then had on the Christmas night with a few options being considered these will be discussed at next weeks committee meeting, if any members which to raise any subject please contact a committee member before next Tuesday.

Next week is table show no 7.

President Colin opened the meeting and welcomed the members. It was a well attended meeting with almost no spare seats left. After mentioning the bus trip Colin handed the meeting over to Alex Carslaw who gave an interesting talk on Rainbowfish Identification.

Alex began by covering some of the main groups of Rainbowfish and showing some of the easier ways to distinguish between them and it was helpful to see some of Alex’s own fish in the presentation to help make the point. After covering the basics Alex had members divide into 4 groups for a Rainbowfish identification quiz which was a popular and fun section with much conferring and no little cheating going on.

KAS would like to thank Alex for taking the time to give his talk. The meeting then broke up for refreshments and the raffle. Next week is an off meeting.
